Harris Electric Eatery is a family style restaurant with international influence. Everything is made in-house, from scratch, including smoked meats, pickles and ferments. Focused on fresh local produce, sustainability, and highlighting what Southwestern Ontario has to offer, Chef Carr has a creative way of combining interesting flavours to season and embellish his food.
We feature a wide selection of local craft beer and cider, with rotating draft taps, and a carefully curated wine list. Many menu options are suitable for gluten free diets and regular vegetarian lunch and dinner specials guarantee there is something for everyone.
The Electric Salad is as beautiful as it is delicious, the Fried Chicken is worth the trip to St. Marys, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding will have you coming back for more!
Chef Jordy Carr began his culinary journey as a young dishwasher at Woolfy’s Restaurant at Wildwood in St. Marys before moving to Stratford as a young adult to explore the culinary scene. Realizing that cooking was more than just a job to him, he enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at George Brown College in Toronto. After graduation Chef Carr worked for Jamie Kennedy (Gilead, Jamie Kennedy’s Wine Bar), Paul Boehmer (Boehmer), Don Letendre (Ontario Pavillion of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics), Matty Matheson (Parts & Labour Catering), and Chris Brown (Citizen Catering). Working in different types of environments from fine dining to large scale catered events has helped Chef Carr to find his niche in the culinary world. Working with people from a broad spectrum of cultures has given Chef Carr exposure to many types of cuisines and he is excited to share his own interpretations of those with his hometown.
